VS Code is the [relatively] new editor that Microsoft has released and is available for Windows, Linux, and MacOS. It is fairly lightweight and works with many different languages, including the many Visual Studio languages, PowerShell, Java, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, and Python, as well as other formats like Markdown and JSON.
In this video, I walk through the installation of VS Code on Windows, the installation of the PowerShell extension, and running a quick “Hello, World!” script. There isn’t actually anything here of substantial value, but I thought that I would like to have this here as a reference for some future posts.
So, what’s next? If things go as planned, it will be some Microsoft Graph work in PowerShell.
